Who we are

Live to create

From our first Live to Create session delivered under a shady tree by Lucy Wills as Mermaid Nation on the 4th May 2007, we've come a long way.

We are a collection of creative people who believe that by putting our values into practice, we can improve our communications, the way we work and the way we play.

Live to Create grew out of spontaneous and commissioned workshops given at festivals such as the Big Chill and the Big Green Gathering. In late 2007 we expanded the concept into seven key stages, delivered through regular workshops and events.

Live to create

believe that creating not consuming will shift us and the people around us out of our rampant over consumption. We’re not going to tell you what you can and cannot buy. We’re here to help you discover what you could be doing instead and to nudge you out into your new creative universe.

Live to Create

is a pilot project developed by creative consultancy re-present with help from great past partners, now being delivered in partnership with talented and forwarding thinking organisations including Hai Media Group and Carbon Outreach. We are working with the RSA and its fellows (Lucy and Erica are fellows too).

value our creative partners, and reward everyone who works with us on an open and generous profit share basis.

offers strategic consultancy for creative businesses and environmental and social organisations. We also develop our own projects which encourage and enable reuse and creativity through the effective use of communcation and open source software.

Carbon Outreach

creates and executes social media strategies for sustainability-focused businesses and non-profit organizations. Founder Erica Grigg aims to "To create international momentum for happiness within low-carbon lifestyles"

Hai Media Group

is a London-based multimedia communications firm offering traditional public relations services, combined with new technology marketing strategy. They are passionate about promoting creativity in all areas of life.
